Dr. Miller is a native of
Kingston, class of 2004 RCHS graduate. He attended University of Tennessee at
Martin, graduating in 2007 with a Bachelor’s in Health and Human Performance,
concentration in Exercise Science. He attended Logan College of Chiropractic in
St. Louis, Missouri, obtaining a Bachelor’s in Life Sciences, a Master’s in
Sports Science & Sports Rehabilitation as well as a Doctor of Chiropractic
degree.
Dr. Miller is an avid practitioner of martial arts. He has 17 years experience of practicing and teaching a number of different sytles. Some styles he has taught include: TaeKwonDo, Judo, Hapkido, and Haidong Gumdo. He also practices Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Mauy Thai Kickboxing, Filipino Martial Arts, among others.
Dr. Miller's clinical training included unique internships at St. Louis VA Medical Centers and several collegiate level athletic teams across Missouri. Dr. Miller was part of the Spinal Cord Injury Unit and treated patients in the Chiropractic Department and the Interdisciplinary Pain Management Department of the VA. He also participated in OR and clinical rotations through the following departments: neurology, orthopedics, general surgery, radiology, vascular surgery, interventional radiology, and interventional pain management.
Dr. Miller is currently Team Physician for Roane State Community College. He oversees and manages injuries that require conservative non-invasive treatment. He is also an adjunct professor for Roane State, where he teaches Care & Prevention of Athletic Injuries and Safety, First Aid & CPR.
Dr. Tucker grew up in beautiful
Fort Walton Beach, Florida. She is a proud graduate of Choctawhatchee High
School, and an alumnus of Florida State University, where she obtained a
Bachelor’s in Exercise Science. She also attended Logan College of
Chiropractic, obtaining a Bachelor’s in Human Biology and a Doctor of
Chiropractic degree.
Dr. Tucker was chosen to be a
chiropractic intern to the Scott Air Force Base Chiropractic Clinic as her
final clinical rotation. She was also accepted to the Internship Programme of
the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. During her time in
Europe, Dr. Tucker gained a greater appreciation for Public Health through the
hundreds of interns and staff of WHO, who commit their careers to the betterment
of those around the world. The projects she contributed to included work on
international documents on disease reporting and traditional medicines. Dr.
Tucker is extremely passionate about chiropractic benefits for our service men
and women, veterans and Medicare recipients. She devotes time every spring to
attend the annual National Chiropractic Legislative Conference in Washington,
DC.
Dr. Tucker plans to continue
post-graduate work in primary care, nutrition, pediatrics and acupuncture. She
will also pursue her Master's degree in Public Health in 2012.
